Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz PC issued the following announcement on July 1.
John McJunkin has been named managing shareholder for the Washington, D.C. office of Baker Donelson. Mr. McJunkin assumes the role previously held by Scott L. Campbell for seven years.
Mr. Campbell will return to his full-time practice focused on political and public policy strategy, providing advice to U.S. and foreign companies with interests and undertakings in energy, homeland security, technology, trade and foreign direct investments. He also serves as president of the Howard Baker Forum, the Firm's in-house think tank and convener on public policy issues. In addition, Mr. Campbell will continue to lead the U.S.-Japan Roundtable, which he has managed for several years.

While serving as Office Managing Shareholder, Mr. McJunkin will maintain his legal practice, focused on representing creditors in loan workouts, business bankruptcies, foreclosures and commercial litigation. He offers clients a broad range of services that include negotiating and documenting restructurings of complex lending relationships, and helping commercial borrowers in workout negotiations and bankruptcy planning. Mr. McJunkin has more than 30 years of commercial litigation experience related to lending relationships and also has considerable experience litigating technology licensing issues, preferences and fraudulent conveyances, and sales of assets and cash collateral matters related to insolvencies.
Mr. McJunkin has been recognized as a leading Bankruptcy lawyer in D.C. by Chambers USA since 2010. He is also listed in Washington, D.C. Super Lawyers in the area of business bankruptcy and is a Master of the Walter Chandler American Inn of Court.
