Graduates earn 9,826 degrees, certificates from George Washington University


About 23.5 percent of the 9,826 degrees and certificates handed out by George Washington University in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Washington conferred 1044 master's degrees and 489 certificates in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in international relations and affairs. Data shows the school gave out 523 bachelor's degrees in international relations and affairs, followed by 520 doctor's degrees in law and 383 master's degrees in international relations and affairs.

The university enrolled 27,973 students for 2017-18, including 11,999 in undergraduate programs and 15,974 in graduate programs.
