Science Initiative boots Amazon from its list for failing to meet its own climate goals

In 2019, Amazon made a pledge to eliminate or offset carbon emissions by 2040. As part of this commitment, the company joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in 2020 to track its progress towards meeting these goals. However, in August 2023, Amazon was dropped from the SBTi for failing to agree on a viable goal to reduce carbon emissions.

The Foundation for the Restoration of America (FFROA) is awarding $100,000 in academic scholarships this year for completion of its Constitutional Study Program, which includes courses about our nation's founding and founding documents. Christine Altenberger, Executive Director of the Foundation for the Restoration of America (FFROA), told Washington DC Business Daily that the courses are meant to address areas in which our education system has fallen short in teaching topics that she argues are critical to young Americans.
